Egyptair is known as the seventh carrier in the world and was founded in May 1932. Egyptair is based at Cairo International Airport (CAI) in Egypt and serves more than 70 destinations. The airline serves Egypt, Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Egyptair Express, a separate subsidiary, handles regional flight service. Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer aircraft provide service. The airline joined the Star Alliance network in 2008 offering connections to nearly every destination in the world.
