Will I pay for my infant to travel?
Yes, a child up to two years old (24 months) may travel for a fare of USD $24 / €15 / £12 / SEK 145 per flight segment on international flights and €17.85 on domestic (German) flights, subject to the following terms:
TUIfly must be notified in advance that you are flying with an infant. Numbers are restricted to 10 % of the seats on a given flight. TUIfly go by the child's age at the time of travel; where both outward and return flights are booked, we go by the child's age at the start of the return flight. Infants must travel on the lap of their parent or legal guardian.
Infants are not entitled to their own seat unless one has been booked for them. Each adult may accompany only one infant.
What if my child turns two on the trip; will I have to buy a ticket for the return flight?
Yes, a ticket will have to be purchased for any flight on which the infant will be over two years old. Children aged between 2 and 6 are entitled to a 50% reduction on the booked one-way fare (exclusive of taxes and fees).
What infant amenities are available on the aircraft I'll be flying (i.e. bassinets)?
Infant amenities vary by aircraft. When you're on the airplane page, look for the Infant Amenity Icon. If it is present, clicking on it will tell you what infant services are available on that airplane. If you do not see it, infant amenities are not offered on that aircraft. You can always contact TUIfly for more information.
Can I sit in the exit row with my infant?
Neither lap children nor infants in car seats are not allowed in an exit row. In fact, all passengers in an exit row must be at least 15 years of age. In addition, infant seats are not allowed in the row directly in front of or directly behind an exit.
