Singapore-based Scoot Airlines (TZ) is a low-cost long-haul carrier. From its hub at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) it flies to 15 destinations in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. The airline was founded in 2011. Scoot also has a joint venture with Nok Air (DD) to operate NokScoot (XW), a Bangkok based Thai low-cost long-haul airline. Scoot's fleet of nine aircraft consists of two Boeing 777-200ER planes, two Boeing 787–8 planes and five Boeing 787–9 planes. Each is configured with a Business Class (branded as ScootPlus) and Economy Class cabin. Certain seats in Economy Class – branded as Scoot in Silence, S-t-r-e-t-c-h and Super Seats, are available for an additional fee.
