Indonesia-based low-cost carrier Lion Airlines (JT) is the country's second largest airline. Founded in 1999, it operates from hubs at Jakarta's Soekarno–Hatta International Airport (CGK), Surabaya's Juanda International Airport (SUB), Batam's Hang Nadim International Airport (BTH) and Makassar's Sultan Hasanuddin Airport (UPG). Including its subsidiaries Batik Air (ID), Thai Lion Air (SL), Malindo Air (OD) and Wings Air (IW), Lion Airlines flies to about 90 destinations in nine countries throughout Asia and the Middle East. Its fleet of 104 planes are primarily configured with a single Economy Class cabin.
