What is Unaccompanied Minor Service?
Young children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered to be unaccompanied minors. Most airlines provide a service to assist these children from their point of departure to their final destination.
What age does my child have to be to qualify as an unaccompanied minor?
The service is mandatory for children ages 5-14 traveling without an adult. Children under 5 years old cannot be accepted as unaccompanied minors. However, service may be requested for children 15-17 years old.

Are there any restrictions?
Kenya Airways will only accept responsibility for unaccompanied minors between airport of embarkation and deplaning. These children must be accompanied as far as the airport and the parent/guardian escorting the unaccompanied minor must remain at the airport until the flight departs.
