Carry-on Baggage Allowance
Each passenger is permitted to carry one 5kg (11 lbs) carry-on bag with dimensions no greater than 56 x 36 x 23 cm (22 x 14 x 9") for free. In addition passengers may carry a purse, briefcase, or laptop bag and an assistive device (such as a cane) for free.
Checked Baggage Allowance
Passengers are entitled to a free baggage allowance, which varies depending on the flying route, ticket class and member tier. Passengers may take extra bags with them for a fee.
Overweight bags are subject to certain fees for each kilogram (2.2lbs) they are overweight depending on the flying route.
Sports Equipment
Contact the Cathay Dragon reservations office or your travel agent at least 3 working days prior to the scheduled departure date to allow time if you neeed to book seats for bulky baggage. If It is not necessary to carry potential bulky items aboard, please check them in as checked baggage.
CPAP Devices:
Cathay Dragon may transport your personal oxygen equipment, for instance those filled with gas, in the cargo hold as long as it is packed and labeled in accordance with our “Dangerous Goods” regulations. For more information, please contact the reservations office. For safety reasons, oxygen cylinders brought by passengers may not be carried or used on board our flights. Passengers may also bring and use their own Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC’s) on board. For more information, please contact the airline.
