Who can travel alone?
Children aged 5 -11 years old may travel alone on flights operated by Caribbean Airlines, providing there is a pre-arranged Unaccompanied Minors service in place. The Unaccompanied Minors service is optional for children travelling alone between the ages of 12-15.
Who must be accompanied?
Children less than 5 years of age must be accompanied by someone aged 16 or older. Children aged 5 - 11 will be accepted for travel providing there is a pre-arranged Unaccompanied Minors service in place or they are accompanied by a passenger aged 16 or above.

Booking Procedure
- “Unaccompanied Minor Declaration" form No. 333 completed and signed in triplicate
- Children must possess all the relevant travel documents (valid passport, entry visas) prior to flight departure
- The necessary customs and immigration forms must be completed prior to the child’s flight departure

- Advance Seat Selection for UM requests - we aim to pre-seat our UMs in the forward section of the cabin.
- Special dietary needs may also be available on your service.
- UMs will only be accepted for onward travel providing they are holding confirmed reservations and ticket on the other carrier. At this time, transfer of UMs at JFK is limited to American Airlines, British Airlines and United Airlines.
- Due to safety reasons, a limited number of UMs can be accepted per flight.
Service Charge
A charge of US$100.00 is applied for each child, on a direct continuous one-way travel. Unaccompanied Minor Fee is non-refundable and is not applicable to travel between Trinidad and Tobago. Child discount does not apply to bookings for Unaccompanied Minors.
