The seat has limited recline but more than that it is located right next to the lavatory. On my (night) flight immediately after dinner there was a que for the washroom hence you should expect people touching the IFE, your seat and you, they might even stand on your feet. I even got hit on my head by an old lady. The same happened immediately before breakfast. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS SEAT

Window Seat, amongst the first few seats that are served and you get a choice of meals. veg or non veg. service and food was surprisingly good. did not expect it from Air India. Leg room was a little restricted for a 6 ft guy. seat was the same as on the A320 neo. narrow than what you would get on a standard long haul overall 4 stars. Upgrading at check in for AUD$799 is a good deal if you can afford it. the same thing on the return flight is dearer by AUD$300 ciming to $1100. not worth if your economy ticket was anything over $1000 return.

This is a good seat because you get about half a seat worth of empty space on your right side. This is particularly helpful if you're carrying things that you may need during the flight and don't want it crowd your leg space.

This seat has plenty of leg room, however is slightly cramped due to the emergency exit door frame. The seat also gets very warm from the in arm entertainment system. However the main issue is that where the floor where you rest your feet, beside the door, gets very hot and toasts your feet. This is was the same in seat 30 A too.

I read the comments for the Business class cabin, and hoped that they are not the truth "Dirty, bad maintenance". Sadly the comments are right. I can honestly state that the "old" 747-400 from Lufthansa is in 10 times better condition as the 787 from Air India. Seats are dirty and you feel not good.

I was really surprised by AIR INDIA in general i bought my ticket with them because was the only cheap and good time but i didnt know what to expect. The result is that air india is a good company, with nice planes. I took two flights with a short connection in delhi (1H) and everything went perfectly and suit case arrived in Paris with me !! About the seat it is a comfortable seat with a big screen, the new window of this B787 are amazing ! I reallly recommend this air craft and i would love to take the B787 again

Frankly the worst Dreamliner flight I ever had. According to Flightradar I believe the plane was 2-3 years old - but it looked 10+ years old. Calling this "business class" is a stretch - more "business minus". It was ofcourse more comfortable than Economy - but I would say that if you are going business then avoid this. I have simply not flown a worse business class. Service was fine - but comfort and seat was 10 years outdated.

Easy to stretch legs however you get knocked by crew going past. TV was bust. Narrower seats too as TV arm swings up. At night the only window that does not dim is here so when the sun comes up - you are awake unless you have a mask. Good side is 1st served with food and drink.

I flied from Shanghai to Mumbai vai New Delhi by AI-349 Air India Flight on 11 june 2016. The Flight was excellent where the Indian Meals were served by Crew members with nice Smile. The Liquor was also served in the flight. Overall, it was an excellent experience as, the legroom in economy class was also good, where one can straighten the legs and can have deep sleep... Boieng 787-8 Dreamliner is an silent plane.....Try once.....

I was surprised that despite the aircraft being so modern the service and amenities were not in keeping with other carriers. The cabin was not very clean, service was OK but not exceptional and food/beverages again good but not in keeping with other carriers. The flight itself was fine, on-time and comfortable. The entertainment system had a reasonable number of choices. I would say it lacked polish overall.

I traveled business class from LHR to DEL on this aircraft. The food was only okay, but it came in tin-foil containers, not on plates! I was amazed! PLUS, the seat armrests were visibly dirty. They needed to be cleaned with alcohol wipes. If I hadn't been flying on points, I would have asked for my money back!

I frequently travel to India. Most of times by Air India. I am Indian national, and I experienced that cabin staff are more courteous towards Europeans than Indian/Asians. Which hurts, on one side we want to travel by national carrier and then these individual cabin staff puts us off to travel by Air India.I, also, noticed that Indian/Asian passengers are LESS demanding than Europeans. still Europeans needs are filled without any questions while India/Asians needs are met with resistance of i.e. wait, why can't have it etc. etc.. There should be more same treatment for all.

i found the service on the flight pathetic. it was a throwback to the eighties where the air hostess was extremely rude and thought she was doing me a favour by bringing me a sachet of ketchup for my breakfast! in the total flight offered water twice and thats it. no soft drinks nothing. they don't even respond to the call button and just reset it from somewhere near the galley. somebody in air india management really needs to do a reality check and see the shitty 1 star airline they are running. just better than taking an interstate bus with jet engines that can go faster and higher. absolute crap for an airline. For an airline that represents India its a shame. i am sure India could do better as it really tarnishes the reputation.

Flew LHR-DEL in VN-ANH and BOM-LHR in VN-ANV, both flights in seat 2J. The 2x2x2 configuration isn't ideal for privacy but provides greater legroom than the business classes of either Austrian's B777 or Swiss's A340. The flat bed seats are sufficiently comfortable but lack storage areas next to the seat for mobile phones, glasses, etc. The service was (unexpectedly!) good and the food not at all bad. The outbound flight arrived about half an hour early, the return flight arrived about half an hour late. I'd fly them again.

Nice aircraft (as it was brand new). The moving map on the IFE was dodgy. We were going from Hong Kong to Delhi, but it thought we were going from Delhi to Hong Kong. Additionally it couldn't cope with the change of time zones! As usual, the seats in the forward economy cabin were obviously quieter than the rear. In any case, this 787 was clearly a quiet aircraft. The aircraft hadn't been cleaned properly - there was rubbish in our seats from the previous sector. The cabin crew were very lazy and disinterested. They couldn't be bothered with the pre-landing procedures. Ringing the attendant bell at the seat was a waste of time. I haven't seen such bad service in decades, even from low cost carriers. Our subsequent flights on Jet Airways were a huge improvement.

Have just flown DEL-MEL on 28 Feb. and would not by choice repeat the experience . Huge force by staff required to make seat recline barely a centimetre. The two toilets closest we were out of action before leaving Delhi which added to the pressure on the remaining ones given it was a full plane. Staff could have easily been of more help to a young mother sitting nearby who was travelling the 11+ hours with a small child and a baby.

I flew to Melbourne and back in December 2013 from London. Dreamliner all the way at the time. The seat was good, service variable and the comings and goings of people from economy to sleep for a while in the seats somewhat interesting. On the final leg back to LHR there were 3 booked. Straight after takeoff the 1st extra appeared and slept most of the way. For much of the flight the only empty seat was 2F. I wonder how they got their upgrades?

I flew this flight on a domestic BLR-DEL run, the seats are horribly narrow, a full sized adult will have a terrible time on any long haul flight. There is also no shoulder room at the windows since the cabin curve seems to jut into it.

FLight from Paris to Delhi. A very enjoyable flight. about half full so I could move to a set of three seats (32DEF) and it was very enjoyable and a lovely seat, big TV and even a proper headset in economy!! Small reminder of what you got a few years ago!!
